Annascaul walks is a small friendly walking club in the heart of the Dingle Peninsula, where brooding mountains, stunning coastlines and fast flowing rivers provide magnificent year round walking.
I am quite a brisk walker but like to stop and take in my surrounding. I love being outdoors in nature and enjoy the 'journey' and being in the moment.
I like the freedom of setting out somewhere and discovering things along the way. If you would like to then please get in touch and we can see where it takes us. Update I am still a single 55 year old man and am looking for a walking partner to get me back into my walking boots, I ruptured my Achilles Tendon a couple of years ago and have not really done any walks since apart from a couple of 6 mile ones.
I can often be seen around the countryside with my camera and tripod, trying to take a photo of some wildlife, usually feathered birds :-)I hope to find someone who is willing to take things steady at first to see how far I can get myself back up to. The club holds two scheduled walks each Sunday, meeting at Hanafin’s bar on the main street.
This year have done Annapurna base camp, toubkal Morocco, picos dos europas, and Everest base camp 2 weeks ago. Live only 5 minutes stroll from the English Channel and the back drop of the South Downs with its extensive walking path routes. I have two children and live with their dad, we have been together for 30 years but sadly he does not enjoy walking.
I travel to Austria almost every year to hike/walk whilst my husband finds the road cycling routes. I am looking for female walking buddies for walking all levels weekdays and/or weekends close to home or further afield. Unfortunately I am unable to map read but would be willing to learn.
I am an experienced hillwalker but also enjoy social walks.
